This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has issued the following... WHAT...Air Quality Health Advisory for Ozone. WHERE...Boulder, Broomfield, Adams, Gilpin, Denver, Clear Creek, Arapahoe, Jefferson, Douglas, Teller, El Paso, Pueblo and Huerfano Counties. Locations include, but are not limited to Boulder, Broomfield, Brighton, Central City, Denver, Georgetown, Deer Trail, Littleton, Golden, Castle Rock, Cripple Creek, Colorado Springs, Pueblo and Walsenburg. WHEN...800 AM Monday May 06 to 400 PM Monday May 06 IMPACTS...A stratospheric intrusion has pushed ozone concentrations into the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups category. Ozone concentrations will gradually taper off Monday afternoon. HEALTH INFORMATION...Public Health Recommendations: Increasing likelihood of respiratory symptoms and breathing discomfort in active children and adults and people with lung disease, such as asthma. Active children and adults, and people with lung disease, such as asthma, should reduce prolonged or heavy outdoor exertion.
