This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

At 1210 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong, heavy thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles west of Ripley to near Sissonville. Movement was northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs or even trees, and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Ripley, Sissonville, Sandyville, Kenna, Statts Mills, Harmony, Given, Kentuck, Liberty, Walton, Cottageville, Evans, Leroy, Fairplain, Gay, and Gandeeville. This includes Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 114 and 150, and between mile markers 152 and 157.
