This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

At 1022 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Thompson Butte, or 18 miles southeast of Rapid City, moving north at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This strong thunderstorm will be near... Caputa, Farmingdale, and Thompson Butte around 1025 AM MDT. Rapid City Airport around 1030 AM MDT. This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 64 and 78.
