A two-decade old tradition of free contentREC's dedication to providing free content goes back to our start in the telephone entertainment days. Even during times when REC operated interactive services, we continued to provide a free usage level. REC believes in providing free broadcast data to everyone. While REC may not provide every service under the sun, we do offer a basic suite of services available anytime which are comprable to paid services offered by others. Our ongoing connections with the grassroots, independent media and free speech movements as well as those involved with faith-based organizations who use our data know that their budgets are precious and every dollar counts. We feel the same way. Over here, we have "real jobs". The operation of REC or any of its projects (including our contracts) do not keep the family fed but it does help. We also understand that when someone goes out of their way to offer a free service and that free service may have saved you or your organization quite a bit in either money or time, you feel that you would like to pay something to show your appreciation. This is why we offer our Broadcast Data Services on recnet.com and our sister sites (lpfm.ws, lpam.ws, etc.) on a "shareware" basis. Meaning you can try out our services. If you feel that our product is of value to you, feel free to donate what you think the value of this product is. While we have a link in our top navigation bar as well as a donation link on some of our Broadcast Data Services page, we will not nag you with annoying pop-ups. We feel that if you wish to donate to the REC efforts, it should be at your own free will. We will ask but we will not nag. How to support RECMonetary donations are definitely welcome here. At this time, we are not looking for any material donations (such as equipment) or any human resource donations (volunteering). There are two ways to support us:PayPalIn this modern day of the Internet, it is very easy for organizations like REC to collect donations with credit cards. For us to accept credit cards in the past, even 10 years ago was a major pain. The PayPal method is the easiest and quickest way to support us. Please note, if you see the name on the PayPal account as "Kristi Gordon", don't worry, that is still us.
By Snail MailREC does respect some of our users personal choice to not use PayPal. We also know that there are some out there who do not have credit cards or even bank accounts but they still want to help out. For those users, we do offer an option where you can directly mail us a payment. We would prefer that you send us a money order over a check. We strongly suggest that you do not send cash in the mail. Target gift cards are also welcome. (please, Target only, thanks.)
Our mailing address is: Please make any checks or money orders payable to MICHELLE A. EYRE FAQQ. Am I required to pay for these services if a FCC application is filed as a result of the use of this data?A. You are not required to however we do hope that you feel that the data was of some value to you.
Q. If I pay, do I get a better quality product?
Q. Is my donation tax-deductable?
Q. What do you do with the money you receive?
Q. Is there a minimum or maximum donation?
On behalf of the entire REC family, I would like to say thank you for considering making a donation to REC Networks. Even if you are not ready to do it right now, just the thought that you would consider it by visiting this page means a lot to us and tells us what we do is appreciated by the public.
