We have reached the point to where we are less than 24 hours from the closing of the LPFM filing window. No applications or amendments to existing applications will be accepted after 6PM EST (that's 3PM for those of you on the west coast) on Thursday, November 14.
With that, REC winds down our pre-window operations. Our LPFM Premium Channel Search services have helped several dozens of organizations by providing them with the information they needed to help complete their LPFM applications.
We are now in a calm before the next storm. This is where the FCC will release the data on all of those who applied for LPFM stations during the window.
Once this data is released, REC will be very busy analyzing the data and providing applicants with information on the status of their applications. Applicants should register for an account on myLPFM.com. Using the various functions on myLPFM will allow applicants to check status, view mutually exclusive stations, search for alternate channels and locations that can be done on a minor change and watch their location for possible encroachment activity from other broadcast facilities.
We would like to take time to recognize our close allies and service provides who we worked very closely with and have offered services, leads or just overall major mojo to make this one of REC's most successful years ever. These organizations include Prometheus Radio Project, Common Frequency, Christian Community Broadcasters, Conexus Broadcasting, Austin Airwaves, The Amherst Alliance and many many many others.
