This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

Flood Warning issued May 25 at 2:03PM AKDT until May 29 at 2:15PM AKDT by NWS Fairbanks AK

* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt continues. * WHERE...Porcupine River near Fort Yukon. * WHEN...Until 215 PM AKDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding is occuring in sloughs and other low-lying areas on the east side of Fort Yukon, with flooding expected to develop in Fort Yukon later today. Flooding is expected to be similar to what occurred last year with many of the same areas that flooded last year flooding again this weekend. The water level in Fort Yukon will crest over the weekend. Flooding will continue into the middle of next week with the water receding very slowly next week. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 100 PM AKDT Friday, a river observer reported flooding of sloughs, low areas and some low lying roads east of Fort Yukon. The observer reported that the water was rising rapidly and was 6 inches to 1 ft below low section of the runway in Fort Yukon. It is expected that water will start spreading into Fort Yukon later today, with the crest Sunday or Monday. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
