This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

At 754 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles north of Miller to near Overton to near Smithfield to 7 miles northeast of Medicine Creek Reservoir State Recreation Area. Movement was east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Elm Creek, Elwood, Overton, Amherst, and Smithfield around 800 PM CDT. Bertrand and Odessa around 810 PM CDT. Other locations in the path of these storms include Pleasanton, Riverdale, Kearney, Loomis and Poole. This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 235 and 280.
