This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

Pee Dee River At Cheraw affecting Marlboro and Chesterfield Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Pee Dee River at Cheraw. * WHEN...Until Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, River bottomland downstream from cheraw will begin to flood. At 30.0 feet, The higher bank begins to flood. Large areas of farmland and river bottomland near Cheraw will be flooded. Portions of Riverside Park become flooded. At 33.0 feet, Southeast of Wallace, water spreads onto Old River Road between Community Road and Highway 912. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:15 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 28.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 31.0 feet early tomorrow afternoon.
