This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

Neches River Near Diboll affecting Angelina, Trinity, Houston, Polk and Tyler Counties. Neches River Near Neches affecting Anderson, Cherokee and Houston Counties. For the Neches River...including Lake Palestine, Neches, Alto, Diboll, Rockland...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Neches River near Alto. * WHEN...Until early Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Boat ramps and picnic areas near the river will begin to flood. Ranchers should move cattle and equipment near the river to higher ground. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:15 PM CDT Friday the stage was 16.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 1:15 PM CDT Friday was 16.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Sunday afternoon and continue falling to 15.6 feet early Wednesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 16.5 feet on 03/12/2012. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
