This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

For the Lower Humboldt...including Comus...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Humboldt River at Comus. * WHEN...From this morning until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Minor to moderate lowland flooding throughout the reach. Some rural roads near the river begin to flood. Very minor flooding begins in Winnemucca with storm drain backups, and the lowest parts of town begin to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:15 AM PDT Saturday the stage was 9.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 8.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:15 AM PDT Saturday was 9.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 10.2 feet late Wednesday evening.
