New eLMS Infrastructure - phase 1 - FCCdata enhancements
eLMS is a product of REC Networks in an effort to improve on the raw data product currently offered by the Federal Communications Commission for broadcast applications filed in the FCC’s License Management System (LMS). eLMS parses the information directly from the filed applications and then places it into a database that can be used throughout the REC system universe.
eLMS Enhancements – First weekend project.
08/19/2020
Backend: Programs to parse FM engineering and renewal applications (for all services). All LMS FM engineering applications filed since September 25, 2019 have been parsed and in our database. Uses LMSBOT real-time data to identify new FM engineering applications filed and then parses the new application to add to the database.

FCCdata: Internal letters from LMS are now displayed in the “Imported Letters” section of FM records. This would normally be used if the FCC dismisses an application.

.com/Renewal Status: On pending renewal applications, app now displays if a “no” answer was made on a certification question on a renewal application.

FCCdata: LMS records for FM translators now receive and display primary station data from eLMS.
Backend: All broadcast renewal applications (radio and TV) issued through LMS are now stored in eLMS.
FCCdata: On LMS “same day” FM modification applications, application details will come from eLMS instead of LMSBOT. This will add new data elements to applications.
FCCdata: FM engineering applications will now use the application indicators (yes/no questions) from eLMS instead of from LMS raw data. This will permit us a wider view into what was entered on the application.

FCCdata: Fixes a shortcoming in the FCC LMS raw data that does not show the information on a renewal for a facility such as a translator that is listed as an “Additional Broadcast Station” on the FCC application. eLMS now looks for those additional facilities and links the application for the “main” station on the application to also include these additional facilities. In FCCdata, if a renewal is filed involving one of these additional facilities, you will see it on the Application History section like you would with any other broadcast renewal.
FCCdata: Renewal applications will appear in eLMS in near real time (same schedule as FM engineering applications). This will mean they will show in the the Application History section of FCCdata within 15 minutes of filing at the FCC.
