An asset purchase agreement has been agreed upon that would see the transfer of control of an AM radio station and its companion FM translator end up in the hands of an individual tied to a reborn "WDGY" — an early rock 'n' roll-era Top 40 station in the Twin Cities. A West St. Paul, Minn., FM translator is also included in the deal. 

Forever Media, which has engaged in the sale of radio stations in Delaware, Ohio and the Keystone State in recent times, has agreed to part ways with two more properties. Both stations have FM signals serving the "Mon Valley" region due south of Pittsburgh. There were fewer commercially licensed radio stations — significantly less, it turns out — at the end of the third quarter of 2026. It continues a trend seen in the previous two quarters, the latest Broadcast Station Totals report from the FCC shows.

Global media agency Carat, Comcast streaming advertising unit FreeWheel, Comcast's NBCUniversal unit, and marketer-focused Newton Research have united to bring to market a programmatic agentic media product they believe is "built to optimize upfront investment" — allowing clients to balance brand analytics and automated reporting across NBCUniversal platforms.

A group comprised of 10 state and regional cable TV service associations has told the Commission that it will be moving forward with a Petition for Stay and injunction, pending judicial review, of its formal repeal of a Congressionally mandated national television ownership reach limit.
